2010 Campaign
The College’s 2010 United Communities Campaign has ended, and we have reached 108 percent of our goal -- $78,555!
These two agencies focus on what matters most — making a difference in the lives of people in our community. And from that mission, we’ve took our theme for this year’s United Communities Campaign: United We Do What Matters.
United Way of Northeast Florida’s mission is “to unite people and resources in building a stronger and healthier community.” Last year, the community funded vital programs provided by United Way’s certified agencies and Community partners which is a true indication of the character of our community. In fact the generosity of our employees helped them overcome major funding cuts threatening these fundamental programs. These funds are essential to First Coast citizens who turn to United Way agencies for help.
When we contribute to both agencies over 90 percent of each dollar contributed stays in our community.
Community Health Charities is the only Federation devoted exclusively to raising money for health agencies through workplace giving campaigns. Their goal is to raise money for their member agencies so they can use these dollars to support research that seeks causes, cures and prevention while supporting and initiating other programs to improve th
e quality of life of people affected by the major diseases and disabilities facing all of us. In Jacksonville, Community Health Charities of Florida agencies have received over $500,000 in payroll designations last year and have spent millions of dollars on local programs, services, treatments and research.
When we contribute to both agencies over 90 percent of each dollar contributed stays in our community.
Both of these fine community organizations thank you for your generous support and extraordinary volunteer efforts.
